The Story so far..

LEX Recruitment has been set up by Alison Thorne.

Alison has worked in recruitment in London and the Eastern Region recruiting to various sectors, including IT and generalist work for more years than she would care to admit. After a few years as a recruiter, Alison took a career break and went to read for a Law Degree at the University of East of England and then to the Legal Practice Course at University of West of England. She has worked in various types of law, including employment, insolvency and bankruptcy and personal injury law. Alison manages and recruits for LEX Recruitment specialising in placing candidates at all levels to the Legal Sector. Alison is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals.

Over the years Alison has raced horses, skied the highest mountains, ridden motorbikes, ran marathons, modelled a bit, (they were blind), and enjoyed a good few parties. She currently has a small herd of ponies, 2 dogs, a cat and two young children to bring up. Alison would love to travel more but the animals keep her home in rural Norfolk. In her spare time she likes to train for Ultra running and marathon events. The furthest run so far has been approximately 40 miles in around 10 hours over the Yorkshire Moors in January 2011. She hopes to complete this 50 mile event in January 2012. Alison has also been known to enjoy boxing and cross martial arts training.
